S317 - Tribute to Jenny Nally

S317 – Tribute to Jenny Nally

Previously known as Jenny Molloy, the S317 locomotive has undergone a restoration

In late 2024, SSR suffered the loss of a pivotal family member Jenny Nally.

Mother not only to those bearing her name (many of which work within our family oriented business), but also to all that had the pleasure of working with her. Jenny held a passion for the people of SSR, and we will be forever grateful of the kindness, impact and lifelong commitment that Jenny made to us all.

Previously known as Jenny Molloy, the S317 locomotive has recently undergone a stunning restoration by the Victorian BRW team. S317 now proudly bears Jenny’s married name and SSR’s black and yellow livery — a fitting tribute to a truly remarkable and dignified woman.

When you see this tribute to Jenny Nally on the rail lines across the country, smile, wave, and know that her spirit and passion will go on, as it’s a pivotal part of what drives SSR to be what we are today.
